Special thanks to Professor Thomas Patterson at the University of Arizona for his encouragement for, and input on, this project; and to Sara A. and Maria D. for their help in getting the website off of the ground.
An early version of this site was made in 2015 as a tumblr where I posted a few of the handwritten transcriptions that I had done. Eventually, however, it seemed that a more polished version of the site was warranted (lol).

This project is indebted to Roichi and Motoko Yasuoka’s sprawling Luiz Bonfá discography site, which has been an indispensable resource for me, as I'm sure for many Bonfá fans, for finding information on Bonfá’s releases, and exploring and discovering his large musical output across his career. The idea for this site was to provide a similarly comprehensive resource for fans, only having to do with transcriptions of his music instead. Another site that served as inspiration, albeit earlier, is Australian guitarist Michael Harris’ now-defunct guitar tablature site for Jeff Buckley songs “Woke up in a guitar tab place”. I used his site a lot when I was younger to learn how to play Jeff Buckley songs from his transcriptions, and got a lot of enjoyment from it.
In any case, I hope that my site will prove useful for guitarists wanting to explore Bonfá’s unique and brilliant music.
